The employees: Principal and preschool teacher: Malin "Maggan" Höijer, [email protected] Caregiver: Lisa Larsson Caregiver: Malin Hugosson Chef and cleaner: Marica Eriksson Parental cooperative We are a parental cooperative which means that we as members of the association are the employer for all employees at the preschool. The board members is replaced after two years minimum and has the ultimate responsibility for the preschool together with our principal. The president is in charge of leading the boards work, the financial officer is in charge of the associations finances, the wage admin is in charge for wages and contracts and the administrative director is the link between the employees and the board. We also have two positions as “Husgås” (house goose) and “Hemgås” (home goose), they are responsible for our cleaning schedule, garden days, our call schedule and for planning any renovations. All members of the association are expected to participate in meetings (one from each family). In one year we have approximately two meetings with the association. The board has additional meetings aside. Twice a year we have "garden days" when all families get together to do some garden work and other improvements on the physical appearance of the preschool. It is usually a nice day together were we get to know each other better. We have a recycling schedule. The weekend when it is your family’s turn you are supposed to take care of the recycling. The work we as parents do at the preschool enables us to have a small child group and our own chef which benefits the children’s well-being. Open hours 07.00-17.00. The preschool is closed 4 weeks during the summer, between Christmas and new year and during four planning days each year, usually in August, Januari and June. If your child needs care during that time, we need to know two months in advance so that we can arrange another preschool place somewhere else that period. Introduction The childs first week: First day: Visit us together with your child, 9-10.30 Second day: 8.30-11.30 One parent is here with the child but tries to stay passive so your child can get to know us and the other kids. You stay for lunch and goes home 11.30. Third day: 8.30 – 13.30 Parent is still here but in the background. Lunch is served. If your child needs a nap after lunch you bring a stroller, blanket, sleepingbag etc. Fourth day: 8.30-13.30 Parent still in the background, says goodbye at 9.30 and comes back 13.30. Fifth day: The child has it's normal hours. This schedule is preliminary and we ajust it depending on how it goes for your child to be left here. To prepare your child for prescool you can let your child get used to eat at 11 o'clock and sleep in the stroller outside at 11.45. To play with other children can also prepare your child for the stay at our preschool and can benefit the childs transition to start at the preeschool.
